Species and adult size

Scientific name: Cubaris sp.. Adult size: approximately 6–8 mm. These are adult size estimates, not a guarantee of the size supplied.

Suitable enclosure

Use a secure, ventilated enclosure with organic-rich substrate, a generous layer of leaf litter and hides such as cork bark. Provide a damp moss refuge alongside a less moist area so the isopods can regulate their moisture needs. Keep the substrate moist where required, not waterlogged, and follow the temperature and humidity guidance above. Choose enclosure capacity to suit colony size and expand as the colony grows.
